For more than a decade 42 Solutions has been providing IT Solutions for Air Forces in Europe such as the German, the Dutch and French Air Force and NATO. We are currently expanding our solutions to include Land and Naval Forces as well.

42 Solutions is best known providing solutions where civil and military aerospace meet. There we provide solutions that recognize both civil and military air traffic and enables coordination. Through the years we have been building on these basic functions to include an erray of specific solutions for national air forces. Solutions that cover most areas from C2 right through to C5ISR.

  • Command and Control
  • Search And Rescue
  • Border Patrol
  • Surveillance
  • Reconnaissance
  • Incident Management
  • Safety and Security
  • Decision Support Systems
  • Counterterrorism
  • Air policing

Most of these solutions can be deployed in simulation modes to prepare, train and learn, operational modes whether in combat, exercise or on a special mission and in post operational modes to analyse situations and for debriefing purposes.

IT capabilities for Defence

In terms of IT we have developed specific IT capabilities for military forces. IT capabilities that always incorporate in depth insight in and knowledge of human factors and safety and security.

  • Sensor data (radars) and sensor networks
  • Data gathering, fusion and assessment
  • Human Machine Interfaces
  • Communication and integration
  • Communication protocols, data formats and enhancements
  • Communication networks
  • 2D and 3D visualization
  • Virtualisation
  • System development
  • Mobile application development

CIMACT for example is a system for identification of civil and military flights and coordination between military and civil authorities. It is used by NATO for the NATO Russia Council’s Cooperative Airspace Initiative to share information on movements in airspace and coordinate interceptions of renegade aircraft. In a customised and enhanced version of CIMACT for the German Air Force, called ZDmF, the system enables playing back military air movements to investigate complaints made by civilians.
