{"id":3575,"date":"2013-11-12T09:50:45","date_gmt":"2013-11-12T09:50:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ivche2.42s.nl\/?p=3575"},"modified":"2018-10-26T09:51:13","modified_gmt":"2018-10-26T09:51:13","slug":"42-solutions-supports-the-nato-russia-vigilant-skies-2013-exercise-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"\/index.php\/2013\/11\/12\/42-solutions-supports-the-nato-russia-vigilant-skies-2013-exercise-2\/","title":{"rendered":"42 SOLUTIONS SUPPORTS THE NATO-RUSSIA VIGILANT SKIES 2013 EXERCISE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A live, three-day joint NATO-Russia counter-terrorism exercise \u201cVigilant Skies 2013\u201d, to test the NATO-Russia Council\u2019s Cooperative Airspace Initiative (CAI) Information Exchange System (IES), has been successfully completed on Thursday 26 September 2013. The exercise took place over the three CAI geographical areas of operational interest, Bod\u00f8 \u2013 Murmansk, Warsaw \u2013 Kaliningrad and Ankara \u2013 Rostov-on-Don.<\/p>\n<p>42 Solutions at the heart of the exercise<\/p>\n<p>The EUROCONTROL product <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurocontrol.int\/services\/civil-military-atm-co-ordination-tool-cimact\">CIMACT<\/a> is the air-traffic control tool used by the nations on the NATO side. The CIMACT is maintained by 42 Solutions and as such, 42 Solutions was a big contributor to the overall success of the exercise. With colleagues present at the Warsaw and Ankara locations, we were at the heart of the exercise and ready to mitigate any possible problems that could occur or answer any question from the audience and even the operators.<\/p>\n<p>Great success<\/p>\n<p>At the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nato.int\/cps\/en\/natolive\/news_104251.htm\">NATO-Russia Ministers\u2019 meeting on 23 October 2013<\/a>, the NATO Secretary General declared that \u201cThe exercise was a great success.
